COSPLAY
Taking a break to save money for the next banch of costumes.

Well, AE has come and gone. It was a great year, much worth the wait.

Thursday

I arrived there with =ManaFromHeaven and her aunt around 5pm to pick up our pre reg badges. Instead of wearing my Junpei like I had planned me and Mana decided to do a last minute ghetto cosplay from Midnight Gentlemen G. I recently was given a disc of it from a family friend who lived in Japan for a long time, it's not subed but he told me the basic plot line and its not too hard to folow. Me and Mana watched it and we dressed as the two lead characters. I'll post up some shots soon.

We had a dinner at the Elephant & Castle with ~Valdrein and ~kerowiz with many stares in our direction. Took a few pictures on our way back then went to the Masq. Ball. We ran into lots of people, I danced with Formal Kakashi (Kerry!), Mana and Valdrein. After we got really hot and sweaty we hung around outside the main events room with Panda and some of his crew, :devwinged-manic: and others. We stayed for a while and I got home around 11pm.

Friday

I wore my Chrona cosplay and acted in character for most of the day, until a had a large coffee that made me a bit more hyper by the afternoon. I went with Mana and Shelley again, arrived around 11am. It was a bit thin with lots of people unable to come because of school. I got pictures with a bunch of Soul Eater cosplayers, but especially my friend ~o0arwen0o who was my Medusa. We got shots with ~Weatherstone which I'll post up and in general had an awesome time. The day was fairly quiet with little events that interested me, I did see a bit of opening ceremonies and speny some time browsing the dealers and arists, and hung around Arwen's table for a bit.

I spent a lot of time with people, and properly met :dev~K-a-i-z-o-k-u: who I have made many a plan with : D <3

Saturday
Zidane day! We arrived around 10:30am and I was so happy to be in Zidane finally! The costume was extremely well recived, I had a lot of people exicited to see it and even one person who thanked me for doing jusice for the character.

Anyways~~ I saw :dev~weatherstone: and :dev=kolibri-chan:'s panel on photography which was really entertaining, I unfortunately missed the FF shoot, watched a doorway with Mana and Arwen, saw the tail end of the charity auction, and I saw the Cosplay Contest after making an announcement promoting the FFF Tournament, the contest seemed shorter than usual but I had awesome frotn row seats to see the awesome cosplays and skits, my favourites being the Evangalion cosplay and the Chrona Trigger skit, and the marriage propsal almost made me cry!

After some food, I got shots of my Zidane with :dev~weatherstone:, hung around with :dev*kenshiro-FDP: and then spent the late hours with Mana, Kaizoku and others. We left late and I stayed with Mana and Shelly.

Sunday

This was my day! We rushed to the con, arrived right before 10am and it was right to work for me. Me, Kenshiro and Lazlo ran around like crazy people making sure all the teams were present and everything was ready. There was a panic over lost soundtrack that was found after the event started, but through all the running around doing prep work I completely forgot about being nervous about MCing and I had such a blast!!

All the teams were amzing! Everyone who helped out was amazing! I can't even describe it! Videos are being posted and I'll be sure to link all of them later.

The rest of the day was spent nice and slow. I was exhausted, spent some time manning Arwen's table at the AA, bought the merch and art I wanted, had some more photos taken, visited with Will and had a nice relaxing afternoon.

It was a great con!

Loot
-Two doujinshi's, one has three stories, one FF7, one FF9 and some other thing. The FF9 story revolved around a bath house and had nekkid Garnet and (EW!) Eiko. The other was a serious drama with a story abotu Vivi and Zidane reflecting on life after a black mage dies (they hug! so cute!)
-Bought a print from :dev~patternfactory: for my sister, I wanted one too, but I was way too poor to buy much anything at this con.
-Mana and Arwen both got me presents! I got a cute floral pin from Arwen and a CLoud & Zack pin from Mana! Thanks guys! <3

Battle Scars
-Got a lump on my temple from Mana's House mug, I somehow managed to fall backward and ram my head into it xD
- Countless blisters on my toes.
- Rash on my neck from all the high collars I wore.
- Allergic reaction from the safety pin from my binding, it itches!
- Had phantom tail the last two nights, I still think I can feel the wore rubbing my spine...
